This bug is know and it's duing of an bug in kdelibs, which retore baddly all size settings for splitter widget. Look the splitter on the bottom of the view and change the size. the content will appear properlly. Best Gilles Caulier @Gilles: should't this bug be set as duplicate of that kdelibs bug? not yet. I take a look if i cannot find a solution in digiKam implementation Gilles SVN commit 824199 by cgilles: Set default Preview splitter size for first startup. BUGS: 164600 M +1 -0 albumwidgetstack.cpp WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=824199 *** Bug 170340 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Kindly forgive my ignorance, but I don't know what the “splitter on the bottom of the view” is. A work-around that satisfies my needs is to set Thumbnail click action to 'Start Image Editor' under ALBUM VIEW SETTINGS. Selected image then appears in center pane of Image Editor. No reply needed or expected. Pax, R. Crosby; Oregon USA Look here : http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/Screenshots/temp/albumguiandhslider.png Gilles Caulier I experience the same problem, it is not possible however for me to select that splitter. All I can see in digikam is the welkom text when I start the application, it drives me mad! Harry, if you dont see any album contents (thumbnail view), then it's a different problem. Probably the ioslaves are not installed properly or not found. See console output for "cannot create ioslave" messages or similar. This bug appears to be fixed in the most recent release of Digikam in KDE 4.29 that is available in the Kubuntu experimental PPA. Not reproducible with 7.0.0 beta 1. |
