Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-06-12 08:16:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.82)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

There is an apply button, so user can explicitly apply changes. There should be a counterpart button to cancel changes.

Adding OK button would also very useful (because of the intuitive behaviour).

This should be addressed in kcms in general, first.

Maciej: please don't file so many duplicate bugs.

Matthew, okay, but I also read other people reports, and I already saw "please post report for each app", so I did it in advance :-)

Ok, next time I will post one, as an example, and I wait for response.

Fair enough, and no worries :-).

In this case, AFAIK it's kcm responsible for the buttons. It's up to each kcm to acct upon them correctly of course; after kcm is changed it may be that you'll have the chance to file individual bugs for modules that don't honor any changes we make, but until then we're raising this to be addressed at the kcm level. (Hmm, and you might also want to discuss this on kde-usability...)

Btw. there are several modules that obviously act on their own (having full set of buttons), so I said it is each module level issue.
