The development version of Konsole contains a profile option to re-enable the "New Tab" and "Close Tab" buttons on the tab bar. The "New Tab" button has a delayed popup that allows profile selection. Profiles are not a direct analogue to Konsole/3's session functionality, but that wish is tracked elsewhere (bug #152761), and if re-implemented, the aforementioned UI would presumably continue to do serve your need as it has in the past. The buttons will be in KDE 4.1 to be released this July. *** Bug 162654 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** > rofiles are not a direct analogue to Konsole/3's session functionality,

Yes they are. That bug report refers to 'session' as in "KDE session" which is a different thing altogether.
Sorry, I got it mixed up with Konsole/3's ability to serialize and restore a set of tabs. duplicate tracking please :-). If this isn't a duplicate of bug 157015, then I'm unconvinced it should have been closed. |
