Sentry Crash Report:

Description Michael Pyne 2008-05-14 05:33:23 UTC
Version:           3.1 (using 4.00.73 (KDE 4.0.73 >= 20080507, compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25.3

JuK ever since KDE 4.0 has not supported any options in the View Mode menu. Available options are Default, Compact, and Tree, however if you look at the playlists JuK always uses the Tree style.

Expected behavior is largish-icons for Default, Tree-style (but without the Artists/Albums/Genres trees) for Compact, and what JuK currently does for Tree mode.

Correction. View modes work but cannot be switched at run-time.
Comment 2 Dario Andres 2008-12-26 15:41:44 UTC
Here using:

Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.1.86 (KDE 4.1.86 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081221))
kdelibs svn rev. 901624 / kdebase svn rev. 901624
kdemultimedia svn rev. 900744
on ArchLinux x86_64 - Kernel 2.6.27.10

View modes works and can be switched at run time.

Can anyone else confirm this ? Thanks :)

View modes work and can be switched at runtime here with:
Qt 4.6.2
KDE 4.4.2 (using only KDE packages from ubuntu)
on Ubuntu Lucid x86_64 kernel 2.6.32-22

Also works with juk from svn r1152209 (but still with other KDE packages from ubuntu). Maybe it's time to close the bug.
Comment 4 Michael Pyne 2010-07-24 02:44:39 UTC
Yes, I can confirm view modes work. Not sure when I fixed them (or if it was an upstream fix).

Note that Tree View takes forever if you have a large collection. :(

Assuming the fix was in KDE 4.2, I haven't actually noticed this bug in forever and we have a reporter saying it worked in a 4.2 prerelease.
