Can you reproduce the crash every time you delete messages in this way?
Moreover you should provide a backtrace following the instruction on this page:
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

Anyway I cannot reproduce the crash on 3.5.9.
