Description jarlgjessing 2008-05-01 11:50:16 UTC
Version: 1.2.9 (using 3.5.9 "release 60.2" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default

I have experienced this error through so many versions now, I hope it will get fixed soon :-)
the problem is, that I select a message on my cyrus IMAP server.
When I select it, I of course excpect the message to be shown in the message view but no. Empty message.
This error happens relativelly often. I then delete the INBOX data on the file system and starts kmail now it works.
There seems to be some corruption between the IMAP server and the local index files. The problem is (and this is beacause I dont know better) that after deleting the entire folder reflecting the IMAP account, I also remove the options like Act on new... etc. this is pretty annoying since it happens as often as it does.
Another question to this, is it possible to "reset" the index without deleting these options?

(I marked this as crash because if I try to delete the message I cannot view, then kmail crashes)

Thanks in regards

I just deleted the: INBOX.index.ids
This worked as a workaround for the problem, but it does not solve the fact that it will happen again :-) but the mails are now readable.

Changing from crash to bug since solving the empty message may solve the kmail crash.

If you experience a crash, we'd appreciate to get the backtrace.
