My observation is the situation has been improved in recent versions. When asked to open multiple images, only one gwenview is opened to browse and view those selected images. It creates some symlinks under /tmp/kde-<user>/ to simulate a folder which contains only those selected images. -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: "Jekyll Wu" <adaptee@gmail.com> Gesendet: 03.01.2012 05:12:32 An: bobby.culture@web.de Betreff: [Bug 160827] Opening multiple selected images with Gwenview >https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160827 > > >Jekyll Wu <adaptee@gmail.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added >---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > CC| |adaptee@gmail.com > Summary|Opening marked images with |Opening multiple selected > |Gwenview |images with Gwenview > > > > >--- Comment #1 from Jekyll Wu <adaptee gmail com> 2012-01-03 04:12:31 --- >My observation is the situation has been improved in recent versions. > >When asked to open multiple images, only one gwenview is opened to browse and >view those selected images. I remember posting somthing like this as a bug some years ago. It hadn't changed. will try to explain what the problem is. Mark 10 images and then open them with Gwenview and see what happens. Yes it opens 10 different windows! Isn't that stupid? Why can't it just open 1 window and let me view the 10 images by simple clicking from 1 - 10? GQview can do it and other image viewers can do it so why can't gwenview? Is this so difficult to fix? Gwenview is a wonderful image viewer but I am sure that a lot of users would welcome this improvement. ___________________________________________________________ SMS schreiben mit WEB.DE FreeMail - einfach, schnell und kostenguenstig. In comment #1, I'm just writing down my observation of how gwenview behaves under that situation in *recent* versions of KDE SC (newer than 4.6.5). That is all. I can confirm that selecting multiple images in dolphin and then "right click"->open with->gwenview works as described in comment #1. But pressing the enter key will open multiple windows of gwenview. Perhaps related to bug 304299. Works in 4.10.2 here. So most probably a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 304299 *** |
