Different channels vary greatly in their nature, so I would like to be able to set some chat window settings different on different channels. For example hide join/part/nick events is useful in some channels with hundreds of users, but in others this info may be highly useful. Other useful per channel changes for me would be redirection of status messages and scrollback limit.

An implementation could be a settings dialog accessible from the channel context menu.

While this report is a lot nicer written than the one it duplicates (thanks for nice, clearly stated wishes; we appreciate it), still closing as a dupe of the older one. This is definitely on the todo.
