Description Stephan Sokolow 2008-01-10 11:24:50 UTC
Version: 3.5.7 (using KDE 3.5.7, Gentoo)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.23-gentoo-r3-20071205

For many of the sites I visit, Konqueror's saved password system is too inflexible. In some cases, because the query string changes between every visit, (eg. session IDs) and in some cases, because the remote path changes. (eg. Amazon.com)

As I remember, Firefox solves this problem by tieing saved passwords to the fully-qualified domain name, rather than the entire URL string... but Firefox has far too many other flaws for me to be willing to use it.

I can reproduce something similar (svn rev. 815196) :

Example with Amazon.fr :

Konqueror will prompt for password saving on
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/css/account/forgot-password/redeem-forgotten-password-token.html (recovery page)

Then back when user changes his password :
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/css/history/view.html#sign-in

So this is a wish for improvement.
