I am using latest Kopete (kde 4.1.2) in fedora 9 and this behaviour still exists and I find it really annoying. In fact , in google Talk, if the other chat participant is using gmail web interface , and closes and started the conversation again ,even that creates a new tab and chat continuity is lost . This a very annoying behaviour of this otherwise se great IM application. I request the devs to please modify this behaviour!!! This looks like a duplicate of Bug 175078, Bug 111537 or Bug 142650: They address the changing of the resource name when the Google Talk server is used. Seems related with bug 194808 too. It has been fixed, however I experienced it again this week with Kopete 0.70.90 (KDE 4.3.64 (KDE 4.3.64 (KDE 4.4 >= 20090812))). Long time no experience this bug, closing as FIXED. Please reopen if you experience this bug with KDE SC 4.4+ Thanks! |
