Description Michael Monnerie 2007-12-04 02:13:38 UTC
Version: Kontact
Version 1.2.4, KMail
Version 1.9.6 (enterprise 20070904.708012) (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Since upgrading from openSUSE 10.2 to 10.3, kmail (kontact) crashes all the time. After a crash, you can't even restart, this only makes an immediate crash before any windows gets displayed.

I found that removing the ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/imap/ is sufficient to make kmail run again.

It's a pitty that an upgrade makes your system not work anymore - reminds me of that Windows thingy I used to yell and laugh about. Any chance of a simple and/or quick bugfix?
