What I mean is, that for foo.tar.Z I got an error whereas for foo.Z the konqueror doesn't show an error. instead konqueror (respectivly ark) subsequently asks me for the (correctly) choosen file type and opens it fine.
Issue remains within 3.5.10. A file named as foo.tar.Z is shown as empty if opened with konqueror. The same file - renamed to foo.tZ - however is opened correctly (with ark). I could not reproduce this behaviour in KDE 4.2.2 - foo.tar.Z opened as a common tarball and foo.tZ was considered a gzipped file. Since there are no plans for a 3.5.11, I'm closing it as WORKSFORME. |
