Description Ronny Standtke 2007-08-28 22:47:11 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE 3.5.7, Debian Package 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-4 (lenny/sid))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.21-2-686

When I start Kontact it starts KWallet (probably because I have an imap account). Only after I insert my password and the KWallet dialog closes the main Kontact window shows up. So far so good.

The problem is that whenever there are already running applications, e.g. Konqueror, and I start Kontact the KWallet dialog does not show up but opens somewhere in the background. This is a real pain and I saw other users (family members) in the same situation that were completely stuck and complained very angry to me that this fscking Linux mail program does not start up. The WAF of KDE was significantly decreased.

I can not reproduce Bug#106459. When I have Kontact running and I start fetching my mails and Kontact starts KWallet it opens in the foreground and has the keyboard focus.
Therefore, my problem is a different issue and I am reopening this bug.

I can no longer reproduce this issue with KDE 4.3.2 (Kubuntu 9.10).
