Description robert 2007-01-13 21:50:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

Users of Tablet PC`s and other non-physical keyboard system cant unlock a system without a onscreen keyboard.
My suggestion would be to be able to specify a app which then is run in parallel with unlock windows.

This is needed for all Tablets out there and to keep track of existing developments also in "other" operating systems.

Should be a quick thing, right ?

Other desktops like gnome or matchbox do this thing already.

As i am no QT developer but yet i love to use KDE, i would love to hint KDE to this feature.

bug #114844 might be relevant for this.

Same problem here.

If set to ask for a password, kscreensaver can not be unlocked on a system without keyboard, in particular a slate-style tablet-PC.

There already seems to be a patch, to make kdesktop_lock work with xvkbd:
