Add new todo dialog in Kontact

Description Krzysztof Lichota 2006-12-04 20:08:34 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When KOrganizer is started standalone and "Add new todo" is chosen, the dialog appears with "Location" field. In this case, translation is correctly taken from messages/kdepim/korganizer.po and says "Lokalizacja:".

If Kontact is started and "Add new todo" is chosen, the dialog appears with "Location" field, but in this case, it says "Nazwa pliku:", which is translation used in:
pl $ grep -r "&Nazwa pliku:" messages/
messages/kdeaccessibility/kmouth.po:msgstr "&Nazwa pliku:"
messages/kdelibs/kio.po:msgstr "&Nazwa pliku:"
messages/kdepim/kmail.po:msgstr "&Nazwa pliku:"
messages/kdevelop/kdevelop.po:msgstr "&Nazwa pliku:"

kmouth and kdevelop are out of question and I have checked that changing string in kmail.po does not change the behaviour. So it means translation from kdelibs/kio.po is used.

I will attach screenshots that illustrate the problem.

Suggested solution: add "context" in i18n("&Location calls"), so that these places are distinguished.

Add new todo dialog in KOrganizer

This is "add new todo" dialog in KOrganizer, showing correct translation of
"Location".

Add new todo dialog in Kontact

This is the same dialog in Kontact, using incorrect translation.

Is this still an issue with KDE 4.3.1 ?

Guess not.
