so? That's the way X works, KDE can't change it Hey, couldn't kdm detect if xorg.conf has been modified and be configurable to automatically restart X for you when you log out? Related [K]Ubuntu bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/27457 SUSE's kdm has been smart enough for as long as I've been using it to check for changed X config file on logout and restart kdm if file was changed. Why can't that be standard for KDE's base version? |
