Moreover the 'Save'("Speichern") option is not kept between subsequent configurations of an external script.

resolved under kdebase3-3.5.6-67.1 The self added command is still forgotten if the entered script contains errors (in the first line). The user should be informed if errors have been found in the script. Even worse the whole script code is deleted if kate does not like it. There should at least be a possibility to invoke *.js as well. Ok, the remainder of this bug appears to be a duplicate of bug #117946. Marking it as such.
