Description kavol 2006-10-12 14:26:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

my IMAP server stopped working just a few minutes ago ...

it reports "Temporary authentication failure."

when I click OK to this dialogue, kmail immediately displays authorisation dialogue asking me to enter password

after clicking Cancel, I get the message "Temporary authentication failure."

after clicking OK, I get authorization dialogue ... and so on

whe one of these dialogues is displayed, I cannot type anything in the message editor or even quit kmail

and since one displays immediately after closing the other, I am pretty stuck - xkill isn't the best way for quiting kmail, is it?

so I would like to see two things improved:

1) do not let these dialogues to block other usage of kmail

2) after authentication failure, do not retry login immediately but only after the time which is set as the interval between new messages check

- thanks
