Report #51250 describes a problem of where the inbox folder in the local, unused account is selected on startup. This is for obvious reasons cumbersome.

The fix, as seen in report #58120, was to make the user manually configure what folder to select on startup. However, this fix has two significant drawbacks: it requires the user to configure, and it makes the configure dialog more complex.

I believe there is a better fix for this problem: to select the previously selected folder on startup, as originally suggested in 58120. This solves the problem without having the user to manually do it, and the configure dialog is simpler.

The question is if is sufficient to replace the current solution. I believe it is, until someone provides significant scenarios, beyond that folders in an unused account is selected.

In other words, I see here an opportunity to improve KMail's usability and make KMail simpler.
