Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

Not only horizontally but vertically too. It would be a great aid, navigation panel takes too much room (and slows down Kpdf), but this is simple and fast.

Is this related to, or the same thing of bug #102788?

Pino, I think yes, however the other discussion is drifting in a bit different direction than the original post. 
Anyway, it is so related, that it makes (this) report a duplicate. Could you close it please (and sorry for posting a duplicate report...).
