    Editing /etc/fstab for removable media is wrong!!! HAL and KDE's MediaManager should do everything for you. B U T: KDE's MediaManager is very limited in setting mount-options - i.e. it doesn't know iocharset, codepage, dmask, fmask, umask, etc., yet. => Accessing NTFS-formated external drives i.e. is impossible with present KDE! Maybe you want to vote for this bug: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133456 Not actual with UTF-8 locale *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 161673 ***  |
