Version:           0.12.1 (using KDE 3.5.4, compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.6
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.21

Gmail.com doesn't support <NICKNAME> tag (and it seems that they're not interested in compability with others). Kopete is fetching nicknames at first run, but it can't fetch from gmail.com. But it supports <FN>. Maybe fetching FN if NICKNAME is not present and using that FN as a name on the roster woudln't be a bad idea?
