This is very similar to "disable archiving". Maybe "disable archiving" should be replaced by this. However, I don't think we need both. An example of a feed, for which, for every new fetch, every items are duplicated: http://www.01net.com/rss/dossiersentreprise.xml (and they even appear with the same time). I'm under Gentoo Linux, using KDE 3.5.7 (Kontact 1.2.5, Akregator 1.2.7). Thanks to everyone who will work on this. Err... forget about my message, wrong bug. Sorry. Thank you for the bug report.
