Your analysis is slightly wrong. KMail doesn't find the mail if you search for "mw..." because only the real name is shown and thus only the real name is matched against. If a message lacks the real name then the email address is shown and matched against. But nevertheless there is a problem in finding all the mails from one author, if they do not have all a realname. I do not know if this helps (in sense of may be there is some code to reuse), but as I recall Thunderbird has a much more comfortable fast search function, where (optional) you can even to a fast search on the content of the mails I fully understand the problem and I hope that we'll be able to address this with KDE 4. great *** Bug 138535 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
