Description plamen 2006-07-15 20:51:02 UTC
Version: 0.11 (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

I am using irc.spnet.net (but there is a problem with any IRC server I try).
When I am chatting with someone every 30 seconds following internal message appears in the chat window:

:irc.spnet.net 338 My_Nick The_nick_of_the_person_I_chat_with His_IP :actually using host

It is very annoying.
Comment 1 Alexander Dupuy 2008-01-25 19:48:49 UTC
Since I'm using an SSL connection, I also see the following types of messages:

:irc.example.org 275 My_Nick Other_person_Nick :is connected via SSL (secure link)
13:37:45

This is especially annoying for IRC channels with lots of people connected. Oddly, not everybody on the channel generates these (but most do).

The message also regularly appears for every IRC user that is in Kopete's contact list.
