I can confirm it. I think when the event is repeated n times, and there are celebration days or exception rules, the period must be extended. I have an event which is repeated exactly for 12 days, but when there are 2 exception days, the event is only repeated 10 days. I think those 2 days left should be recalculated automatically and extended following the recurrence rules.
