Description Joel Webb 2006-04-21 17:02:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Ever since KDE 3.5.2 I have been using Konqueror as my main browser. But I have found that there are some issues dealing with multiple logins on the same website.

For instance, in Firefox, if you have multiple logins on a website, it will provide you with the multiple names in a dropdown box, and you can select which user you can login as.

With Konqueror, however, you have to retype the name of the user that you want to login as, which defeats the purpose of having remembered username/passwords to begin with.

This feature only helps if you assume the user uses the same password every single time to login to the website. Granted, that this scenario fits most of the web users, but I think it would be better to allow multiple logins with the drop down menu.

I also think that the username/password should match the website, not the web page. On some of the larger websites, you can login on multiple pages, it isn't just one page that you do it on. From my experience with this, you are tracking the pages.
