Maybe you can remove your kwordrc (to be found in $HOME/.kde/share/config/kwordrc) and see if that makes any difference. If it does; please attach the faulty kwordrc to this bugreport. It crashes with and without the ~/.kde/share/config/kwordrc, looking at the backtrace it seems the problem is related to aspell, maybe it is the version of aspell I'm using. I will try to update aspell and see if the problem persists. Besides that, the rest of the koffice suite seems to work OK. Could be a corrupted dictionary... -- David Faure faure@kde.org Indeed, I followed your suggestion, and uninstalling the spanish aspell dictionary (aspell-es 0.50.2) seems to solve the problem, but the bug doesn't happen with koffice 1.4.2 and the same dictionary. By the way, I'm using aspell 0.50.5. After instaling back, kword crashs. On Monday 15 May 2006 22:02, Jiri Klement wrote:

See the version number mismatch?
>> aspell-en 0.51.1 >> aspell 0.50.5-r4 > >See the version number mismatch? I've upgraded to aspell 0.60.4 and reemerged aspell-en. KWord has started, but it's crashed after I've written first letter. I've checked spelling in other koffice apps: kspread works kpresenter crashes Then I've upgraded to aspell-en 6.0.0. Now it seems that everything works fine. *** Bug 128067 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I'm using libaspell 0.60-4 on debian testing (future etch) and as stated on #128067 I still suffer the problem. As I have been explained there, there is a problem with aspell so I have submitted the report upstream and you can see the progress here: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1614925&group_id=245&atid=100245 I hope this will be solved soon, since kword 1.6.1 also suffer this bug. *** Bug has been marked as fixed ***. |
