ATM i can't reproduce this bug anymore - still not sure what is going on here. it works now, but it has before - just sometimes it starts hanging again... Can you still reproduce it with 3.5.4 (in case you upgraded)? yes, i can. just now, when you asked, i loaded tweakers.net, middle-clicked 2 pages, and was unable to do anything else. i can resize the window, works fine - but i can't give it any commands, it just ignores everything you do, even if you use dcop to control it. clicking the close button doesn't even bring up the 'this window is not responding, should i kill it' window... really weird. Does CPU usage go up for the konqueror process? nope, it stays on 3-4 %. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112960 backtrace looks similar Haven't had the crash in some time (kde 3.5.4), it might be fixed?!?!? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 112960 *** Tommi Tervo: are you sure it's the same? konqi doesn't crash here, it just hangs (still there in 3.5.5) not responding to any key or mouseclick, but when you resize the window, it resizes the content... KDE 3.5.5 I managed to reproduce this hang. First time I got javascript freezing alert but second time not. All what is needed to reproduce this hang is to click a bunch of links to background tabs.

exact. problem is, it doesn't reliably work. it might depend on some add or something else which is not always there... one day it works, reliably, another day it doesn't hang at all. haven't had the problem in a long time, maybe it's fixed. and if it isn't now, if/when webkit replaces khtml, it might be fixed by apple/nokia/kde dev anyway. don't feel like keeping this one open, so i'll close it :D |
