Description Tiago Freire 2006-02-10 18:59:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.4.4
OS: Linux

Right now, when I hover the mouse over kmail's tray icon it displays the message 'there are xxx unread messages'.
It is all right, but I would like to be able to have more information in it. More specifically, I would like to see what it is doing right now. Like, when I am sending or receiving an email, it could display the information which also shows up on the 'Detailed Progress Window'. Which is, in he case of IMAP: 'Mailbox - Folder - Whatisitdoing - progress%'.
It is nice to be able to peek on what kmail is doing whithout having to 'un-tray' it, especially when you have lots of traffic, or, in my case a BIG disconnected IMAP mailbox.

This is a good idea. Additionally, if kmail is not working and there is an unread mail count being displayed, the tooltip should show more information about these messages (sender, subject, maybe a part of the body, etc.)

Agree to both of you.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
