Ah, I noticed that when I accidentally popped up a reply window, I thought "must close window", but my mice fingers thought "ooh that send button looks like a nice way to close the window". I caught myself just in time, this time. Still, it would be nice if KMail warned me when trying to send an unmodified reply (as with no subject). Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
