Bug 11802 (Keep message) should be unmerged from bugs 8206 8312 and 11181. Bugs 8206 and others require offline capabilities where as 11802 does not. The feature described in report 11802 is implemented in XNews which has no offline capabilites. In Bug 77294 the wish is that a article could be kept no mather what are the Cleanup settings. This does not imply that the body should be kept. In respect to this wish, I also feel that knode should allow to preserve the whole article once fetched. After restarting knode, all previously retrieved articles would still be available (marked by the check sign). When considered for cleanup by knode they would be treated normally but both header and body would be cleaned up. I don't feel the need for any special treatment of particular articles because it should be a global setting. When active bodies wouldn't be lost. When inactive the current behavior would occur. What the heck ? This wishlist was request in the year 2000 and still not fixed. If you don't want to accept, please reject it. But I don't think there would be any good reason to reject it because it is a very valid and important feature request. There's no need to close a wish that wasn't yet implemented, but may be in the future. A temporary workaround for this is to drag the articles to your "Saved messages" folder. Naturally, this isn't as convenient if you need to keep a large number of articles. That "temporary workaround" won't work as dragging to a local folder is no longer possible, Knode is not maintained anymore. Please use kmail instead. Let's see.. no bug fixed by the maintainer during the last years (nor any news from him) and KNode was removed from kdepim master. Fair enough. Regardless, any (mass-)closing of knode bugs ought to be well-communicated and coordinated. I've seen neither so far. The bug should change to unmaintained just to reflect actual fact.
