It would be handy if you could just right click on red misspelled words and correct their spelling 'on the fly' just like you can in word processors/email/etc, instead of having to fire up the spelling checking prompt and go through all the misspelled words just to get to the one you want to correct.

Not sure I understood your wish correctly. Could you check whether this is the same as bug #67673? If it is, a short note would be nice so I can close this report. If it is not, please add a bit of detail.
