Often there are multiple occurence of a string I am looking for in a PDF file. I usually press Ctrl-F, type in the string, and then keep on pressing F3 to skip the occurences until I arrive at the desired spot in the document. But sometimes it is necessary to go back to the last occurence to be able to compare the two. Unfortunately this is not possible with KPDF.

I think the easiest way to solve this problem would be to implement a "continue search backwards" feature, such that one could search forward by pressing F3 and backwards by pressing SHIFT-F3.

The "search backwards" option is part of the search dialog but unfortunately not available.

In addition, it should be a seperate menu entry such that one can assign a short key to it.

Still hoping for that feature (KDE 3.5.8)...

Sorry, KDE 3.5 is closed for new features.
You want to look at Okular (KDE 4) - it still does not have it though, but it's planned.

Thank you for your bug report or feature suggestion.

The "KPDF" application is no longer maintained, and all tickets are now closed.

We recommend to switch to the "Okular" application.

Due to the high number of bugs/suggestions in "KPDF" we are not able to go through all of them and verify if they are still valid in "Okular".

That's why are we asking you to help us by checking if your bug/suggestion is still valid in Okular and if it still is opening a new bug/suggestion against it.
