ICQ, MSN, and probably some others already reconnect automatically. Jabber doesn't yet. here icq does not. is there a configuration option i have to check? I'm talking about the SVN version (future KDE3.5) so you have to wait the next version that was not obvious. but thanks for the info anyway. > ICQ, MSN, and probably some others already reconnect automatically. > Jabber doesn't yet. >I'm talking about the SVN version (future KDE3.5) >so you have to wait the next version Does 3.5 also have autoreconnect for jabber? Thanks! I'm using Kopete 0.11 with KDE 3.5.0, and Jabber often disconnects with a "Sorry, unknown error" message, and I always have to manually reconnect. Gaim also has frequent Jabber disconnects, but it can automatically reconnect (every account type in Gaim can auto-reconnect, it's a simple option in the accounts dialog). Could this please be fixed? It's annoying, distracting, and makes Jabber unreliable. this should be fixed in the dev-0.12 branch (for jabber) *** Bug 105352 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Hi Olivier, Will the dev-0.12 branch be part of KDE 3.5.x or do we have to wait for KDE 4.0? Anyway, this is fixed in the comming Kopete 0.12 (it will not be a part of KDE 3.5.X , but will be released separatelly soon (before kde 4) |
