The Delete key should work independent from the focus. If not, then it's a problem of your settings or of the environment. Anyway, this works fine on Suse 9.3 (KDE 3.4.2 as well as KDE 3.5 pre-beta). I think I haven´t described my problem very well. Yes, delete does work even if the focus is moved. But I sometimes leave some mails which I need on the bottom of the mail list and if I press delete, the mail is deleted and the mail list moves to the next one, which I want to keep. And pressing up doesn´t work because the focus is on the preview widget. I think many people do this and I see no reason why the delete command should move the focus. As for version 1.11.4 this is not resolved completely. When you delete a who thread by <CTRL>+<DEL> the mail list still loses focus. Rather disrupting for the workflow. |
