Closing the bug since it won't be implemented. Hi, I was wondering why you are not interested in this feature. This is one of the first wishlist items I thought of as I started to use akregator. It makes sense to remember how each feed is viewed because people are most likely to view certain feeds one way and other feeds another. Without this feature we have to change the View Mode every single time we view certain feeds, which is honestly kind of a pain in the rear. For example, every time I read Planet KDE I switch to Combined View so I can see all the content together, much like reading planetkde.org. And then when I read the NY Times I switch back to normal view because I have akregator set to load the full website instead of just showing the small summary. Either way, thanks for the cool feed reader. I appreciate all the work that you've done. brian It was never decided not to implement it. If someone writes a patch, it's welcome. It's just that there is actually one person working on Akregator (me), KDE 3.5.x is feature-frozen and Akregator in KDE 4 has other tasks that have higher priority. So it might require a long time until a feature is implemented (or finally rejected). Sending patches speeds up the process enormously. Hello- Please help me understand this.. From my understanding, This should be deleted as a duplicate combination of Bug 97339: (optionally) add more columns in listview and Bug 95836: Newspaper like article view. Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. |
