Installed from:    Unlisted Binary Package
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2)

Currently when you start a file transfer with other contact (at least in msn), there is no feedback about the transfer request status until it is accepted. If the transfer is not accepted no messages appear. It also would be good to show the file size and transfer speed in the transfer progress dialog.

I second this, only I'd like to add that this applies to more than just file transfers.  Silence is a very unacceptable response when inviting the other person in a convo to do anything, whether it is a file transfer, a webcam convo, or whatever else there is.
