How about using a search folder for the view over the single folders? This should allow doing what you're looking for. Search in all those folders, give the search a name, save, a search folder ("virtual folder") will appear. Thanks, this actually works. But the virtual folder is not in the line. Will it cost processing time? My suggestion would IMHO be a little more logical ;-) On Thursday 16 June 2005 13:09, kdebugs@onlinehome.de wrote: > Thanks, this actually works. A little, the search folder has to be updated when new messages arrive in those folders. Shouldn't be a big problem though. > My suggestion would IMHO be a little more logical ;-) But much less flexible (it would solve one need, whereas search folders solve 100 needs) > What do you mean by "is not in the line"? Have a look here: http://img242.echo.cx/img242/9089/bildschirmphoto15cg.png Ah, sure, it's after everything else. That sounds like a separate wish though. > That sounds like a separate wish though.
I think it is a part of the subfolder concept. What are benefits of subfolders without such kind of features?

Hierarchical organization of folders. Another observation: when I delete duplicates in the search folder, they are not deleted in the real folders. Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding. Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2. |
