I'll second that. My internet connection goes in and out. If KMail starts an automatic check while my internet connection isn't working, it will try to connect once and fail, but will never timeout. It just sits there waiting to hear back from the original request, but it never will. When my internet connection comes back, kmail is still waiting on the original request, and won't do any more automatic mail checks until I manually cancel the old ones. Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
