Description Pietro Dania 2005-04-14 08:59:50 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

the kdm_greet window shows a box with syslog messages and i can't find the config option to disable it.

Isn't that xconsole? Check if you can turn it off from your Xsession script.
Comment 2 Pietro Dania 2005-04-14 16:33:30 UTC
No, isn't it.
It's a QT widget (even with a horiz. scrollbar) in the lower part of the kdm_greet window.
I can't get a snapshot of the login screen, and it only happens on :0
i've tried Xnest :1 -query 127.0.0.1 but shows correctly.
I'm lost :-)

an RTFM a day keeps the sorrows away ... ShowLog=false.
this feature is normally compiled only into suse-builds.
apart from that, this is just another "hey, i want a gui for this option" wishlist item ...

different option, same problem.
