I've added some files from a NTFS (thus read-only) partition, and had no problems, so that doesn't happen with all non-writeable filesystems. I've got no smb here, so can't test. I just experienced this issue the other day, and filed a bug with gentoo about it. I can confirm this does seem to be a problem: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96731 I'm reassigning this to TagLib, because the issue is apparently there. Many users report trouble with TagLib and samba. Perhaps wheels has an idea what it could be. |
