Sentry Crash Report:

Description Martin van Es 2005-03-11 16:24:14 UTC
Version: 3.4.0 (using KDE 3.4.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11

I have a user restricted share on a win2k machine and when I try to browse there with smb:// kio slave I get a dialog to fill out user and password. These are not accepted and I keep getting the user/password dialog back.

However, smb://username:password@win2kserver works!!

This is a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91749 and maybe could bet closed.

January 25, 2009 (4 years after the original report) and I'm getting this problem :P

For a while, I thought I hadn't configured samba correctly because I couldn't log in to my university's smb shares via Dolphin, but learned I could log in by manually configuring the connection (as stated above).

If it's not too much to ask, would somebody please fix this bug?
