Description Padde 2005-02-28 00:53:14 UTC
Version: 0.10 using 3.4rc1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.4.3-20050110
OS: Linux

Kopete tries to reconnect to the jabber server all the time, which is _very_ annoying if the chosen jabber server is down. I tried with Connection status plugin enabled and disabled. If it's disabled it doesn't go crazy on opening kopete, but as soon as I try to reconnect to the server (to check if it's up again), it's not stoppable anymore, it won't stop try reconnecting although I chose "Offline" for jabber a couple of times. The dialog with the error message keeps popping up again and again and makes working with the computer impossible. Have to restart kopete and not connect to jabber until the server is up again (but how to find out? ;) ).

looks like a duplicate of bug 87641 or bug 99188

You're right, I didn't know if was only jabber related, the other bug (87641) is with IRC.
