Version: 0.9.91 (CVS from 31.01) (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc 3.3.5 OS: Linux I think there's a problem with history plugin. It is enabled by default, but it doesn't work - it doesn't log anything and the clock icon isn't visible in the menus. It starts working only when I go to plugin preferences and tell it to show several messages from the last chat in chat window. It still works when I deselect that. But until I check that checkbox for the first time, nothing gets logged. To reproduce: - run kopete on a fresh account, no kopete files in $HOME/.kde - create an account and start talking to somebody - no logs are created, although in settings->configure plugins history is enabled - now check "show chat history in new chats" - after that, history starts working
I'm running into this too -- the 'logs' directory wasn't started when I first ran kopete. Debian Sarge 2005-Feb-18, kopete 0.9.2. Thanks for the workaround.
This is probably a problem in KPluginSelector
Strange enough, 2.5 years later on Kubuntu 7.10 I have the same Problem (Kopete 0.12.7, KDE 3.5.8). Shouldn't this be fixed someday?
Can you try kopete on 3.5.10 or KDE 4? Do you still have this issue?
Some news?
