I would love to be able to assign a shortcut to enable/disable the sidebar.

Added action for showing/hiding left panel and removed it from settings. 
"Watch file" moved to settings dialog.

KPDF 3.4 (Using KDE 3.4.0) - No such button to be found, not even in the toolbar configuration. Looks like qbast's fix did not make it in the end.

Actually the button was available (as Show Page List) in the toolbar configuration <kpdf_part> in KPDF 0.3 (Using KDE 3.2.3) and KPDF 0.3.2 (Using KDE 3.3.2).

Jakubs' commit is post KDE 3.4.0, will be available in KDE 3.5.0

The button for collapsing the side bar is present in KPDF 0.5 (Using KDE 3.5.0) - it is the "Show Navigation Panel" action for the "Main Toolbar <kdpf_part>" toolbar.
