Compiler:          gcc 3.4.3 
OS:                Linux

Kopete freezes (requiring a kill) when I try to connect all via Set Status > Online. Weird enough it does not connect automatically when I start it.

Is this still present in KDE 3.4.0?  
If so, please run kopete in gdb and try and get a backtrace when it freezes.

I can only reproduce this sometimes - and then kopete will crash on launch.

Have you a backtrace ?
Maybe are you aware of a protocol causing this.

i have the same problem on kde 3.5.2 - probably it's because of some offline messages in the cue - the problem exist on my both suse computers
