A debian user has reported that the "wrapon" keyword has been incorrectly translated into German (logokeywords.de_DE.xml). The user reports that the German keyword for "wrapon" should be "umbruchan" instead of "umbruckan". It's not clear to me whether a simple change to logokeywords.de_DE.xml is sufficient or whether there are other consequences that must be considered. At any rate, if it is easily changeable, will this change be good for BRANCH also (which is what we're packaging in debian)? Thanks - Ben.
Hi Ben, i am the main devel/ maintainer of KTurtle. The bug (98887) that was filed is more interesting for the german KDE translation team. (i CC them in) Since i speak a lottle german i see this is a true bug, yet to the german word for 'to wrap' feels more like 'wickeln'. But im not native, and sometimes it is good to stick to the choises made in other logo-apps. Question to Ben: are you the debian maintainer of the kturtle package? I am a native german. To wrap means "Umbrechen" in german if you are using it in the context of for example linebreaks. "Umbruch an" or "Umbruch aktivieren" would be the correct translation.
