Version: 0.9.91 (using KDE 3.3.91 (beta1), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.26 Hi, I love Kopete, but it lacks a very nice feature of which Yahoo messenger (in windows) has. And the feature is that it allows a user to logon to yahoo chat rooms!!! Please add support for Yahoo chat rooms, in this way chatting will become very convenient. Currently using kopete one can only chat with existing friends only. If you add "Yahoo Chat ROOM" and/or "AOL Chat ROOM" and/or "MSN Chat ROOM" support, then definitely kopete will become the killer application in KDE and Linux. Thank you for such a nice application.
hi, today i found YahElite (Yahoo) Messenger for Windows, which just works fine with "wine" in Slackware 10.0 Linux. There are many great features in YahElite Messenger which are not present in the messenger itself. Please visit: http://yahelite.org/deep/files/yahelite/ There are too many great features for Yahoo Protocol, which I believe Kopete 1.x can benefit. Especially, Chat Rooms, Voice Chat, Web Cams, etc.

Please use source for yahoo chat rooms and voice chat and web cam from: http://phpaint.sourceforge.net/pyvoicechat/index.php gyach enhanced: A full-featured Yahoo client for LINUX with voice chat and webcam support. Mission: To focus on thorough Y! support on Linux only. Philosophy: Trying to do multi-protocol / cross-platform clients slows progress and results in half-baked support - One protocol, one OS...done well.

Are there news about multi-user chat on yahoo protocol? BTW, isn't this bug a 55168 duplicate?
chances are good that this feature will be added to the yahoo_rewrite in the next weeks/months. And i guess you're right, that seems to be a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 55168 ***
