Description Pavel Gurevich 2005-01-29 02:09:01 UTC
Version: 3.3.91 (using KDE KDE 3.3.91)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

As I understand, partial selection of the file name while renaming should leave extension only(+ dot before) unselected because when one want to rename file (s)he usually does not change file type/extension.

When file name contains several dots, only part till the first dot is selected and I think it is wrong.

ADDITION:

For a directory the extension has no meaning in most cases, so probably, in this case all directory name should be selected, unconditionally.
